Description:

We’re looking for a sharp, curious, and quantitatively minded Investment Associate to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of investment research, product development, business development, and thought leadership in one of the fastest-evolving segments of financial markets.

You will work closely with the business development, portfolio management, and marketing teams to craft and articulate the investment case for digital assets. You’ll translate complex analysis into intuitive insights and be part of the effort to educate and inspire institutional investors globally.

Responsibilities:

• Build the Investment Case: Analyze how digital assets can complement traditional portfolios through research, modelling, and portfolio simulations. Support sales efforts with quantitative insights and tailored allocator narratives.
• Time Series & Market Analysis: Use Python and Excel to perform deep dives into asset performance, factor trends, volatility, and correlation analysis to inform investment positioning.
• Thought Leadership & Content: Contribute to op-eds, research reports, and investor briefings that shape market perception and position XBTO as a credible institutional voice.
• Client-Facing Support: Collaborate with business development to address investor questions with clear, data-backed answers. Help develop tailored pitch materials that align with each client’s investment goals.
• Product & Marketing Materials: Own the creation and upkeep of fund factsheets, investor presentations, product decks and DDQs. Drive the analytical rigor behind what we communicate.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with compliance, technology, and finance teams to enhance investor reporting and ensure messaging aligns with operational reality.
• Portfolio Diagnostics: Monitor performance and attribution data, flag anomalies or insights, and contribute to regular commentary used across investor communications.
• Market Intelligence: Stay on top of news, competitor moves, and macro developments that affect digital assets, and ensure internal stakeholders are up to speed.
• Strategic Input: Be a sounding board for investment, product, and distribution teams: someone who can connect dots, challenge assumptions, and bring ideas to life.
• Continuous Learning: This role is an invitation to master the emerging field of crypto investing while sharpening traditional asset management skills.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical thinker with 3+ years of experience in investment research, asset management, or a related field.
• Fluent in financial modeling and portfolio construction; strong familiarity with time series data.
• Advanced Excel and Python user, and strong Powerpoint skills.
• Experience in using genAI tools and agentic AI
• Excellent communication skills: able to tell a compelling story with numbers.
• Curious about markets, digital assets, and how new asset classes find their place in institutional portfolios.
• Self-driven and excited to shape a firm, not just fill a role.
