Join us as an Investment Advisory Analyst (‘The Analyst’), supporting UK Investment Advisors in servicing Private Bank clients. The Analyst will gain comprehensive knowledge of Barclays investment platforms and services, supporting strategies within the Investment Advisory team to grow new and existing invested AUMs across Barclays investment solutions.

The Analyst will assist Investment Advisors in client interactions, helping to prepare and implement:

  1. The design of diversified and optimized portfolios reflecting Barclays' strategic and tactical views.
  2. Customization of portfolios considering personal objectives and financial personalities.
  3. Provision of advice on individual solutions for clients.
  4. Review of investment portfolios.
  5. Provision of regular market updates on major asset classes and financial indicators.

Successful candidates will have strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, and effective time management. The role requires a motivated self-starter with innovative and commercial problem-solving skills.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Some experience in Financial Services.
  • Interest and understanding of financial markets dynamics.

Additional helpful skills include experience in Retail regulated products and services for high-net-worth clients and current knowledge of financial market dynamics.

This role is based in London and is classified as a Certified role under PRA & UK FCA regulations, requiring mandatory regulatory qualifications or equivalent internal benchmarks.

Purpose of the role

Develop and manage specific financial products and services, providing expertise and bridging product development, marketing, sales, and customer service.

Accountabilities
  • Provide SME expertise on products and services, including features, benefits, risks, and compliance.
  • Understand market trends, regulatory requirements, and analyze data to support product development and communicate findings.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, attend client meetings, and understand complex financial circumstances to offer suitable options.
  • Present product advantages to potential customers, build trust, and promote adoption.
  • Assist in marketing material development and participate in training and networking events.
