Job Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Real Assets Investment Group (RAIG) provides clients with investment management services across the full spectrum of public and private real assets investments, including real estate, infrastructure, and natural resources. Led by senior professionals with significant financial industry and real assets market experience, this global 20-person team is responsible for evaluating real assets markets, identifying investment opportunities, and managing client portfolios. We advise our clients on making debt and equity investments into real assets via public and private investment vehicles, co-investments, secondaries, and separate accounts. This includes on a discretionary and non-discretionary basis.

This role focuses on three primary responsibilities: 1) researching and underwriting real assets investment managers, co-investments, and secondaries; 2) partnering with the RAIG senior team to build real assets investment portfolios for clients; and 3) supporting business development efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Investment Directors to complete in-depth written due diligence on current private and public real asset investment opportunities, including attending manager meetings, planning due diligence, traveling for on-site meetings, conducting reference calls, evaluating teams, strategies, and performance, and reviewing legal terms.
  • Participate in the manager assessment process, including meetings and writing summaries for internal distribution.
  • Support underwriting of co-investment and secondary opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends related to fundraising and investment activity; contribute to market updates for staff and clients.
  • Serve as a resource on current real asset investment opportunities, providing data, analysis, and team opinions.
  • Partner with Investment Directors to provide research, analysis, and advice to clients.
  • Assist in client efforts, analyzing portfolios, responding to inquiries, and preparing presentation materials.
  • Prepare marketing materials for real assets meetings with Global Business Development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (any major) with achievement record.
  • Strong interest in investments, especially real assets.
  • Excellent written communication and business writing skills.
  • Ability to engage with clients, managers, and references confidently.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.
