Job summary

Arvato is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to oversee and coordinate all inventory-related activities in a bonded warehouse environment. You will report to the Operations Manager and lead the Inventory team to ensure accurate stock control, efficient workflows and SLA compliance.

You will use SAP and other systems to maintain records, manage resource planning, and report key metrics. The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance and strong team leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with computerised inventory or warehouse management systems (SAP experience desirable).
  • Previous experience working with customs & Trade documentation is highly advantageous.
  • Previous experience working in a bonded warehouse is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in a temperature-controlled environment is also an advantage.
  • Reliable, organised, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good numerical ability and accurate record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability, managing tasks through to completion professionally.
  • Strong customer and service focus, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and manage the Inventory team to meet SLA targets.
  • Coordinate, optimise and implement inventory processes and day-to-day activities.
  • Act as first point of contact for inventory queries and escalate issues as needed.
  • Identify stock discrepancies and initiate corrective actions with follow-up.
  • Ensure accuracy targets and compliance with SLA and bonded warehouse rules.
  • Work with SAP and other inventory systems to maintain accurate records.
  • Plan resources, including staffing and equipment requirements.
  • Create, analyse and report inventory and compliance metrics.
  • Maintain quality standards, regulatory compliance and SLA expectations.
  • Conduct training and development discussions with team.

Job Description

Salary: Up to £35,090.16

Location: Hams Hall

Hours: 40 hours per week

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all inventory‑related activities to ensure accurate stock control, efficient workflows, and a high‑performing team within a bonded warehouse environment.

Your Tasks

  • Leading, coaching, and managing the Inventory team to achieve and exceed SLAs.
  • Coordinating, optimising, and implementing inventory processes, including planning daily operational activities.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for inventory‑related queries, process issues, and system faults, ensuring timely escalation to relevant departments.
  • Identifying stock discrepancies or process deviations and initiating corrective actions, including follow‑up and success tracking.
  • Ensuring compliance with inventory accuracy targets and wider SLA and bonded warehouse requirements.
  • Working within SAP and other inventory management systems to maintain accurate and compliant records.

  • Creating, analysing, and reporting key inventory and compliance metrics.

  • Carrying out people‑management responsibilities, including training, development, and performance conversations.
