Job summary

Spirax-Sarco Engineering is seeking a Planning and Inventory Manager in Cheltenham to own inventory health, portfolio planning and demand-to-capacity forecasting. You will work across Sales, Marketing, Technical, Operations, Procurement and Manufacturing to drive planning excellence and support business growth.

The role requires strong analytical skills, ERP experience, and a track record of inventory optimisation within a fast-paced environment. A competitive package and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory planning and replenishment.
• Ability to develop forecasts and translate into capacity plans.
• Strong analytical skills and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory targets including safety stock, reorder points and stock level optimisation.
• Monitor inventory performance and address excess, ageing and slow-moving stock.
• Manage replenishment plans with suppliers and internal partners.
• Analyse KPIs and provide insight-led recommendations to improve performance.
• Support lifecycle management including new introductions and phase-outs.
• Develop demand forecasts using historical trends and BI tools.
• Translate forecasts into capacity and inventory plans 2–18 months out.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers on capacity planning.
