Job summary

Red Door Recruitment is seeking an Inventory Planner for a dynamic FMCG/retail focused business minutes from the town centre in the United Kingdom. You will analyse data, optimise stock levels and work with procurement, sales and logistics to keep inventory in balance.

With 1-2 years' experience, you will translate data into actionable plans, manage supplier relations, and support budgets and forecasts. A SAP user with a proactive attitude will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of work experience in FMCG or retail industries.
• Love for data; translates numbers into action.
• Proficiency in SAP.
• Forecasting and service level targeting experience.
• Confident decision-making with a proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Place orders with suppliers to replenish inventory as needed.
• Manage supplier relationships.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales and logistics teams to align inventory levels with business needs.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to inventory shortages or excesses.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare and present inventory reports to management.
• Optimise inventory turnover rates to minimizes holding costs.
• Collaborate with the finance team to manage inventory budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and report on KPIs related to inventory management.
• Support continuous improvement initiative within the supply chain department.
