Job summary

Cast UK Ltd in Northampton is seeking a Stock Analyst to join the inventory team. You will produce KPI reports across multiple client stock holdings and collaborate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy.

The role involves developing and maintaining data extracts in SQL, supporting job clocking and compliance checks, and driving improvements in reporting tools using Excel and PowerBI.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm, with salary up to £37,500 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel with data validation and reporting.
• Strong analytical thinking to convert data into actionable insights.
• Attention to data accuracy before reporting.
• Ability to present data clearly to leadership.
• Knowledge of warehouse/inventory processes.
• Experience with WMS like CargoWrite or RedPrairie.
• Experience with PowerBI or reporting automation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly and monthly KPI reports for Inventory, Operations and Senior Management review.
• Prepare Job Clocking reports and productivity reporting, highlighting trends, exceptions and areas requiring operational review.
• Produce ABC analysis across multiple clients and recommend pick-face review, storage strategy and stock layout improvements.
• Write, maintain and improve approved SQL/data extracts.
• Support system compliance reporting, including putaway, storage, picking, relocation and inventory process checks.
• Develop and improve reporting tools using Excel, SQL and approved reporting methods, reducing manual work and improving consistency.
• Provide ad-hoc data support to the Inventory Team Leader, Inventory Supervisor, Stock & Systems Manager and Senior Management.
