Job summary

SIG plc is seeking a Stock Controller to establish and maintain robust inventory control and valuation, recording stock movements accurately and within required timescales.

You will manage raw materials and stocked items, forecast consumption, and set min/max levels while negotiating prices and maintaining supplier relationships. The role involves monthly stock valuation reporting and close collaboration with warehouse, manufacturing, and admin teams to drive accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory management and stock control.
• Forecasting and min/max stock level experience.
• Familiarity with stock valuation principles.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventories for raw materials and stocked items on site.
• Forecast consumption to keep min/max stock levels.
• Record stock movements and allocations accurately.
• Monitor stock valuations monthly.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and manage purchase orders.
