Job summary

HR Employment Bureau Redditch in Pershore is seeking an experienced Material Controller to maintain accurate inventory data and ensure material availability to support production schedules. You will manage stock movements in Sage and Sicon and work closely with Purchasing and Production Control to minimise shortages.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory control systems (Sage 200 with Sicon) and accuracy in stock data.
• Strong cycle counting and perpetual inventory experience.
• Ability to investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Good analytical skills to identify trends, risks and root causes.
• Experience supporting production control and material planning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records within Sage and Sicon; control stock movements.
• Own and manage the perpetual inventory and cycle counting processes, including variance investigation.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor stock accuracy and report trends, risks and recurring issues.
• Work with Production Control to ensure materials meet production schedules and kitting requirements.
• Liaise with Purchasing to ensure PO accuracy, lead times and delivery performance.
• Communicate material status and constraints clearly with internal teams.
• Support safety and compliance in all material handling processes.
