Job summary

Encyclis in Bedfordshire is seeking an Inventory Controller to safeguard stores, oversee stock levels and ensure timely supply to the Operations and Maintenance Team at the Rookery South ERF.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will develop and implement stock-control procedures, handle receipts and dispatches, and maintain COSHH records while using the CMMS and basic material handling equipment.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or NVQ Level 2/3 in a technical or science subject; relevant experience considered.
• One year of related experience preferred; stores systems/ procedures experience desirable.
• COSHH knowledge is required; forklift and overhead crane operations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective stores management: order parts, issue/receive goods, manage stock levels and audits.
• Coordinate inventory with Procurement, Maintenance and O&M teams to ensure supply of parts and tools.
• Establish and maintain site stores; develop stock-control procedures and risk assessments.
• Administer receipt and dispatch of materials with suppliers and transporters to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain COSHH documentation and CMMS records; monitor high-risk stock items and implement material strategies.
• Support safety policies and housekeeping; participate in H&S meetings and inspections.
