Job summary

Encyclis is seeking an Inventory Controller for the Rookery South Energy Recovery Facility near Bedfordshire. You will manage stores, stock levels, and procurement to support the O&M team, ensuring safe handling and accurate records using the CMMS.

The role involves coordinating with procurement and maintenance, implementing stock procedures, and maintaining COSHH compliance. Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes is desirable; a proactive safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or NVQ Level 2-3 in a technical or science subject, or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a related environment is preferred.
• Experience developing stores systems and procedures is desirable.
• Experience with COSHH and safe handling procedures.
• Forklift and overhead crane operations experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage stores, ordering parts and materials, issuing/receiving goods, and stock audits.
• Coordinate with Procurement Specialist, Maintenance Manager and O&M team to ensure availability of parts.
• Establish and maintain the site stores facility and stock control procedures.
• Administer receipts and dispatch of materials, coordinating with suppliers and transporters.
• Handle COSHH, CE Certification, Materials Certificates and related docs.
• Utilise CMMS to ensure accurate records and controls.
• Identify high-risk stock and propose mitigation strategies.
• Operate forklift and overhead cranes when required.
• Support safety rules and safe systems of work, and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist with short/long-term maintenance strategies and safety meetings.
• Maintain housekeeping and accurate COSHH records.
