Job Description

The Inventory Controller will maintain accurate inventory records in SAP, reflecting all stock movements between co-packers and third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses. Responsibilities include recording receipts, dispatches, adjustments, and write-offs, as well as reconciling monthly stock reports from 3PLs against SAP records. The role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Stock Movement Recording: Accurately record all stock movements in SAP, including receipts, dispatches, adjustments, and write-offs, ensuring alignment with physical transactions between co-packers and 3PL warehouses.
  2. Reconciliation: Reconcile end-of-month stock reports from 3PL warehouses against SAP records, investigate discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments.
  3. Inventory Adjustments: Process inventory adjustments in SAP, ensuring all changes are documented and authorized.
  4. Communication & Coordination: Collaborate with co-packers, 3PL warehouses, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate stock reporting.
  5. Reporting: Prepare and present regular inventory reports, highlighting key metrics and discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and support audits related to inventory management.
  7. Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline inventory management processes.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in FMCG, with chilled supply chain experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with SAP / SAP B1 inventory management modules.
  • Strong understanding of stock-related accounting principles.
  • Excellent data handling skills; advanced Excel skills required (excluding VBA).
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume transactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
