Job summary

GXO are seeking an Inventory Control Leader for our B&Q site in Blyth. You will be the subject matter expert for stock and systems, supporting first line managers and the wider team to deliver outstanding results.

This full-time, permanent role operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (07:00–17:00 and 13:00–23:00). You will lead stock processes, use WMS, and drive improvements to ensure accurate stock control and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory and stock processes within a warehouse environment.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (JDA/Red Prairie) is desired.
• Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, supervise and report on warehouse operatives' activities to enable effective leadership and development.
• Process stock orders, load planning, and stock handling using WMS per procedures.
• Be the point of contact for systems and stock issues, providing timely resolutions as a Super User.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and establish preventative measures and best practices.
