Job summary

GXO are seeking an Inventory Control Leader for our Blyth site to be the stock and systems expert, supporting frontline managers and the wider team to deliver outstanding results.

You will plan and supervise warehouse activities, handle stock, and act as Super User for WMS issues. The role includes a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (07:00-17:00 / 13:00-23:00) and a salary up to £32,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience of inventory and stock processes within a warehouse environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (JDA / Red Prairie) desirable.
• Proficient MS Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Able to work as part of a team or independently and hands-on when required.

Responsibilities

Job description

GXO are looking for an Inventory Control Leader to join our B&Q site in Blyth - S81 8PU. In this key role, you'll be the subject matter expert for all things stock and systems, supporting the first line managers and wider operational team to deliver outstanding results.

• Plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of the warehouse operatives, enabling the FLM's to provide effective communication, leadership, succession planning, motivation and training & development
• Process stock orders, load planning, and various stock handling duties using the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), following the correct procedures

This is a full time, permanent position, where you will be working on a '4 on, 4 off' shift pattern. The hours of work will rotate every four between 07:00 - 17:00 and 13:00 - 23:00.

You'll be paid a salary of up to £32,000 per annum.
