Intranet-Portal Manager

Salary from £42,679 to £51,000 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £54,730 pa inclusive of London allowance

LSE’s Communication Division leads and coordinates internal and external communications for the university, offering communication advice, training, and support. We aim to meet the needs and expectations of our users with digital products that enhance and streamline the organisational experience of being at LSE.

A major project involves creating a new internal intranet-portal, providing a single digital entry point for students and staff to access personalized communications, information, resources, and tools, supporting a seamless user experience across various back-end systems. The Intranet-Portal Manager will contribute to building this product as part of a cross-functional team during its 12-month development phase.

Post-launch, the manager will own the product roadmap, implementing new features and functionalities to improve the user experience, and will oversee daily operations and ongoing user research to ensure the platform remains well-designed and user-centric.

You will have:

  • Experience in product development and digital content management.
  • Experience in user research, analyzing engagement, trends, and statistics, and using insights to inform practice.
  • A proactive, motivated approach to team building and collaboration across diverse teams and user groups.
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage competing demands among colleagues and external partners in a multi-stakeholder environment.

This role offers a blended remote/in-person working pattern, requiring a minimum of two days per week on campus, with more if needed. We provide an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
