LSE’s Communication Division leads and coordinates internal and external communications for the university and offers communication advice, training and support. We aim to meet the needs and expectations of our users with digital products that enhance and streamline the organisational experience of being at LSE.

A major project to achieve this is a new internal intranet-portal, creating a single, digital entry point for students and staff to access personalised internal communications, information, resources and tools while supporting a joined-up user experience with various back-end systems as far as possible. Post go-live, the Intranet-Portal Manager will own the product roadmap to implement new features and functionalities that enhance the student and staff experience, delivering iterative product improvement in collaboration with technical and non-technical teams across LSE. They will also have responsibility for day-to-day operations and ongoing user research with the LSE community, so that the product is a well-designed and delivered platform where LSE community experience remains at the product’s core.

You will have:

  • Experience of product development and digital content management.
  • Experience of user research and analysing engagement, trends and statistics, using this insight to inform practice.
  • A motivated, pro-active and enthusiastic approach to teambuilding, working across cross-functional teams and user groups.
  • Evidence of good negotiation skills to manage competing demands and priorities amongst colleagues and external partners in a multi-stakeholder environment.

This is a blended remote / in-person role, and there is a minimum expectation of working two days per week from LSE’s campus, and more if required depending on business need.
