Job summary

Innovate Recruitment Ltd in Central Belt Scotland is seeking a skilled Intralogistics Maintenance Engineer to support high-volume parcel sorting facilities within a fast-paced automated environment. You will carry out preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and repair conveyor and handling equipment while working across days and nights on a Panama shift.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining conveyor systems, automated material handling equipment, or intralogistics systems.
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and/or mechanical disciplines.
• Ability to work independently and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working a Panama shift pattern, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on conveyor systems and associated equipment.
• Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise operational disruption.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system faults.
• Maintain and repair motors, gearboxes, belts, rollers, sensors, scanners, and automated handling equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Accurately record maintenance activities using the site's maintenance management system.
• Work closely with operations teams to ensure maximum system availability during peak periods.
• Participate in shift handovers and communicate equipment status effectively.
