Overview

Recruiting tomorrow's Army today.

Since 2012, Capita have been working in partnership with the British Army to deliver best in class recruitment services. The Recruiting Partnership Project (RPP) is responsible for attracting, sourcing and selecting officers and soldiers for the Army (Regular and Reserve), meeting targets based around volume, shape and diversity and delivering an excellent candidate experience. Your role as an Interviewer/Assessor is to guide and nurture candidates applying to the British Army through the assessment process in an unbiased, friendly and controlled environment.

As an Interviewer/Assessor you will be responsible for the implementation of both physical and psychometric assessment activities under strict test conditions with a detailed marking guide to ensure candidates are graded in accordance with their ability. This role is full-time on-site and includes overnight chaperone and on-call duties once per week, plus one weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday).

What you'll be doing
  • Briefing and delivering all cognitive assessment activities under test conditions
  • Contributing to an unbiased test environment for all assessment activities
  • Assessing candidates against fixed criteria
  • Providing feedback on a candidate's performance at assessment, their assessment outcome and their next steps in the recruitment process
  • Conducting individual career discussions with candidates
  • Writing accurate reports to assist recruiters and Basic Training Instructors to understand the candidate's strengths and weaknesses
