Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional radiologic procedures under physician orders. The role requires teamwork with physicians, nurses, and technicians to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

You will assist in IR and vascular procedures, manage imaging equipment, and participate in inventory and training. A strong focus on patient comfort and safety is essential, along with cross-training responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years related work experience.
• Must be able to work in a 20lbs lead apron.
• Advanced technical computer skills as required for IR systems.
• Knowledge of IR lab inventory.
• Minimum 3 years recent experience in Angiography (Special Procedures).

Responsibilities

• Assist the interventional radiologist or vascular surgeon in the performance of diagnostic and invasive vascular and IR procedures.
• Operate imaging and interventional equipment and evaluate image quality.
• Knowledge of supply inventory, expiration and stocking; maintain monthly checks.
• Troubleshoot modalities and analyze data from IR and vascular procedures.
• Provide technical skills to assist in performing IR and vascular procedures.
• Assist with shift coverage and on-call responsibilities.
• Follow departmental guidelines for scheduling and documentation of exams.
• Maintain a friendly, respectful environment for patients and explain procedures clearly.
