Job summary

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust seeks an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the Interventional Radiology team at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. The role involves peri-procedural care across vascular, neurovascular, biliary and GI interventions with opportunities to develop specialist skills.

You will collaborate with Radiologists, Radiographers and nursing colleagues, covering scrub, circulating and pre-procedure duties, and participate in on-call emergencies and major trauma

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active UK registration (NMC)
• Experience in caring for acutely ill patients preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to participate in on-call and night duties

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for interventional radiology patients
• Perform scrub, circulating and pre-procedure nursing roles as required
• Support patients across peri-procedural journey with clear explanations
• Maintain documentation and patient safety during procedures
• Mentor junior staff and students; participate in audits and quality initiatives
