Job summary

Responsibilities include proper patient prep, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate documentation. The role requires ARRT certification and BLS, with on-going collaboration within a fast-paced imaging department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification and state Rad Tech license (if applicable).
• BLS for healthcare providers is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency.
• Ensures patient identification and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Performs mammography exams including stereotactic biopsies and clip placements.
• Demonstrates positioning competency.
• Operates mammographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Completes all documentation and records accurately.
• Follows protocols, coding, charging, consents, QC, and reports equipment issues.
