Working with Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, you will play a vital role in helping children build confidence, accelerate progress and develop the knowledge and skills they need for a successful transition to secondary school.

In this rewarding role, you will spend the majority of your week delivering high-quality intervention programmes for Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, providing targeted support in English and mathematics through small-group and individual sessions. Working closely with class teachers, the SENDCo and senior leaders, you will use assessment information to identify learning gaps, plan bespoke intervention programmes and carefully monitor progress to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
You’ll play a key role in preparing pupils for the challenges of Upper Key Stage 2 and their transition to secondary education, building confidence, resilience and independence alongside academic success. Your ability to motivate, encourage and adapt learning to meet individual needs will make a genuine difference to children's educational journeys.
