Job summary

Education First, York Summer School, seeks energetic Activity Leaders to join the Activities & Events Team. You will organize and lead activities, events and excursions for international students, creating a welcoming, confident and connected atmosphere.

This is a full-time, on-site role running 6 days a week from late June to mid August 2027, with accommodation provided if needed. A DBS check and references are required.

Qualifications

• Energetic, sociable and outgoing personality.
• Confident in leading groups of students.
• Highly organized and able to work unsupervised.
• Flexible with hours; enhanced DBS check required.
• Right to work in the UK on commencement of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of international students on activities, events, ceremonies and day trips.
• Create a lively atmosphere throughout the site and during excursions, delivering excellent customer service.
• Help students speak English and share their cultures while building friendships.
• Take responsibility for health, safety and well-being of all students, including risk assessments and emergencies per EF policy.
• Liaise with co-leaders and the Activities and Events Manager to improve future activities.
• Ensure EF behaviour code is followed and report issues to management.
• If applicable, support a two-day, overnight residential programme in London at the end of the programme.
