Job summary

Bayswater Education is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Leader to deliver engaging daytime and evening activities for international students in the UK. You will lead groups aged 12-17 on cultural visits, provide informative talks, and ensure student welfare and safety throughout activities.

The role includes pre-employment training (paid), campus familiarisation, and potential evening duties. A First Aid certificate and safeguarding experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of international students taking part in educational and/or activity programmes.
• Experience working on a Summer camp.
• Solid knowledge of safeguarding.
• Experience of safeguarding of children/young people.
• Experience of working in a team.
• Current First Aid certificate.
• An appropriate qualification (e.g., Playwork, Childcare or Sports Leadership).

Responsibilities

• Planning, leading and supervising interesting daytime and evening activities for our students.
• Taking groups of students on cultural and educational visits and excursions.
• Helping provide a mix of fun and educational offerings on our programmes (e.g., discos, quiz nights, talent shows, sports).
• Providing information to students at points of interest and learning opportunities during excursions.
• Ensuring welfare and safety of the group.
• Attending training prior to employment (paid).
• Leading groups of students aged 12-17 on activities, excursions, and visits to museums/attractions.
• Delivering relevant information during activities and excursions.
• Ensuring the safety and welfare of students during activities and excursions.
• Meeting groups on arrival at airports.
• Familiarising with campus, attractions and amenities in local area.
• Liaising with Bayswater staff to create a friendly atmosphere.
• Organising, leading and participating fully in activities and excursions.
• Ensuring information to lead activities/excursions and give talks.
• Following health and safety guidelines on campus and off-site.
• Assisting with student arrivals/departures and campus tours.
• Assisting with supervision and curfew duties as per rota, including evening work.
• Assisting centre managers with administrative tasks.
• Acting professionally with Bayswater agents, clients and staff.
• Wearing Bayswater uniform on duty.
• Reading and being conversant with Staff Handbook.
