Job summary

IRIS Software Group in Glasgow is seeking an ambitious HR Consultant to join our International HR Consultancy team. You’ll support organisations with international HR challenges, global workforce management, and mobility matters, collaborating with senior consultants to broaden your expertise.

The role involves client-focused HR advisory, policy reviews, and international projects across multiple countries, with most work delivered via email, calls and virtual meetings, and some client-site

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an HR role (Essential).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (Essential).
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills (Essential).
• Ability to research information, analyse findings, and provide clear recommendations (Essential).
• Strong problem-solving capabilities (Essential).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel (Essential).
• Ability to build credibility and develop positive client relationships (Essential).
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with a wider team (Essential).

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical, compliant HR solutions for international clients.
• Research country-specific employment law and HR practices.
• Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, policies and handbooks.
• Review and update client HR policies and procedures.
• Respond to ad hoc HR queries across topics.
• Assist with employee relations matters including performance and absence management.
• Support international projects related to organisational change, restructurings, M&A.
• Help design onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Develop and manage consultancy project plans with senior team members.
• Maintain accurate client activity records in CRM.
