Job summary

Rise Resourcing is recruiting an International Compliance Manager for a premier toy brand. You will own product safety and regulatory standards across the UK and international markets, embedding compliant practices into the product development lifecycle to support commercial growth.

You will review technical files, manage testing programmes, and work with suppliers and enforcement bodies to ensure compliant packaging, labeling and age-grading requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the toy industry with international product compliance exposure.
• In-depth knowledge of global toy safety legislation, testing standards and technical files.
• Ability to translate complex regulations into actionable guidance for teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage product compliance from concept to artwork sign-off, testing and range management.
• Oversee risk assessments, technical files, BOMs, and labeling requirements.

Are you a commercial, hands-on compliance professional with deep expertise in the toy industry?

We are recruiting for a premier, global brand owner and worldwide distributor looking for an International Compliance Manager to join their growing team. Reporting directly to the Head of Buying, you will take full ownership of product safety and regulatory standards across the UK and international markets.

This isn’t just a box-ticking exercise — They need a practical problem-solver who embeds compliance seamlessly into the product development lifecycle while supporting commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage product compliance from initial concept through to artwork sign-off, testing, and range management.
• Determine target-market standards, manage risk assessments, technical files, BOMs, and age-grading/labelling requirements.
• Oversee testing programmes with accredited labs, toxicologists, and technical specialists.
• Work closely with Far East suppliers, global retail clients, and enforcement bodies (e.g. Trading Standards, OPSS).
• Oversee ethical sourcing documentation, factory audits, and packaging/waste compliance data.

What they're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the toy industry with significant international product compliance exposure.
• In-depth knowledge of global toy safety legislation, testing standards, test report reviews, and technical files.
• Ability to find compliant, creative solutions rather than simply flagging roadblocks.
• Confident, proactive, and able to break down complex regulations for internal teams, suppliers, and retail partners.
