Job summary

U Value Insulation Group seeks an internal sales representative focused on our Merchant business for the Birmingham branch. The role is office based and involves building a customer base among merchants and driving growth.

You will work with colleagues across sales, customer operations and logistics to deliver proposals, meet KPIs and promote the brand within the construction industry. A background in sales or technical roles, ideally in building materials, is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in a sales/technical role.
• Charismatic, tenacious telesales approach.
• Experience in construction or building materials preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation and IT skills.
• Self-driven, adaptable and target oriented.
• Excellent negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Job Specification

U Value Insulation is experiencing significant growth and is now seeking an internal sales representative focused on our Merchant business to strengthen the internal sales team. The role is office based, in the Birmingham branch. You will be dealing directly with merchants to create your own customer base and help grow the company sales.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Build existing customer relationships to improve customer satisfaction, business retention and cross sales
• Grow new business by engaging with decision making stakeholders within the construction industry
• Deliver updates via CRM (training will be provided), attend monthly team meetings and prepare reports when required
• Network at supplier and industry events to promote the brand
• Build a strong network of industry & sector partners to support for business growth and retention
• Prepare customer proposals and solutions with clear costings and evaluations
• Achieve Sales KPIs set by management team
• Work collaboratively as part of the wider sales team, customer operations and logistics

Requirements

• 2-3 years experience in a sales/technical role desirable
• Charismatic and tenacious approach to telesales
• Ideally some experience in construction and/or building materials
