Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is seeking an Internal Sales Executive in Romsey, Hampshire, to drive new business and nurture client relationships. The role offers a base salary of £26,500–£29,000 with an uncapped £35,000 OTE and is office-based on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will proactively contact prospects, qualify enquiries, and manage a robust sales pipeline while developing knowledge of our construction-sector offerings. Training and progression are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous telesales, internal sales or B2B business development experience.
• Confident and professional telephone manner.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Commercially minded and motivated by achieving targets.
• Resilient and persistent when handling rejection and following up opportunities.
• Organised with good pipeline and time management skills.
• Comfortable learning technical products and services.
• Ambitious, coachable and keen to develop within sales.

Responsibilities

• Proactively contact prospective customers to develop new business opportunities.
• Qualify incoming enquiries and understand customer requirements.
• Build and nurture relationships with existing customers.
• Reconnect with dormant and previously lapsed accounts.
• Follow up quotations and maintain regular customer contact.
• Research and identify new businesses and potential customers.
• Generate quality opportunities through warm and cold calling.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and manage your sales pipeline.
