Job summary

LBS Builders Merchants in Pontarddulais is seeking an Internal Sales Assistant to support the Branch Manager in achieving sales targets, maximise margins and grow the customer base. You will handle quotations, provide product advice, manage stock, and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Key duties include stock control, assisting with stock takes, and contributing to financial performance through debt control and proactive sales opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar sales or customer service role.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
• Organised, reliable and committed to delivering results.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Commercial awareness and proactive attitude toward identifying sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager in achieving branch sales targets and maximising margins.
• Provide customers with quotations, product advice and high level of service.
• Identify opportunities with new and existing customers to grow business.
• Manage and maintain stock levels, ensuring core products are available and displayed effectively.
• Coordinate stock takes and ensure goods‑in procedures are followed correctly.
• Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, resolving issues swiftly.
• Stay commercially aware of local market trends and competitor activity.
• Support cash collection and debt control, contributing to financial performance goals.
