Job summary

Focus Resourcing Limited in Cardiff is seeking an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to lead a team of Assessors and assure high-quality delivery across learning programmes. The role offers a salary of £31,000–£35,000, a full-time permanent contract, and a 35-hour week from 09:00 to 16:30, three days on site at the head office in Cardiff.

Qualifications

• Assessor and IQA qualification is essential.
• Relevant occupational competence is required.
• Experience in delivering training and support is required.
• Full driving licence with use of own vehicle is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of Apprenticeship programmes, IQA processes, and assessment methods.
• Comprehensive understanding of Awarding Organisation and Estyn Inspection requirements.
• Desirable: Proven track record of leading a team of IQAs.
• Desirable: Experience coordinating EQA visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Assessors to ensure high-quality delivery across all learning programmes.
• Ensure rigorous IQA processes that drive continuous improvement and learner satisfaction.
• Monitor and report on assessor performance, collaborating with the Lead IQA and Performance Manager to implement targeted improvement plans.
• Manage sampling and verification activities to enhance learner progression and achievement.
• Ensure Assessors engage effectively with workplace employers throughout the learning experience.
• Complete detailed IQA reports to support and improve performance.
• Participate in and manage EQA visits, ensuring all standards are met for a positive outcome.
