Job summary

Ageas UK is seeking an Internal Communication & Engagement Lead to shape and deliver strategic internal comms, strengthening colleague trust and engagement during a period of transformation. You will report to the Head of Internal Communication & Engagement and advise senior leaders while leading enterprise-wide campaigns.

The role focuses on building a unified culture, driving a One Ageas narrative, and developing a high-performing team with a clear channel strategy across the UK.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in senior internal communications, employee engagement or corporate communications roles.
• Ability to influence and build credibility with executives and senior stakeholders.
• Experience delivering strategic communication and engagement campaigns and leadership communications.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted adviser to executive and senior leaders, providing strategic communication counsel and coaching.
• Develop and deliver enterprise-wide communication plans aligned to business strategy and priorities.
• Create impactful leadership communications including speeches, presentations, announcements and thought leadership content.
• Drive engagement initiatives that strengthen a ‘One Ageas’ culture and bring the corporate narrative to life.
• Lead the internal channel strategy, ensuring the right channels, governance and colleague experience across the business.
• Oversee colleague listening, wellbeing and engagement programmes, turning insights into meaningful actions.
• Lead and develop a high-performing communications team, providing coaching, support and career development.
• Deputise for the Head of Internal Communication & Engagement and support crisis communications during business-critical events.

Salary Range: £60,000 - £90,000

Internal Communication & Engagement Lead: We’re looking for an experienced Internal Communication & Engagement Lead to shape and deliver strategic internal communications that strengthen colleague understanding, trust and engagement across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communication & Engagement, you’ll act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, lead enterprise-wide communication campaigns and help foster a strong, unified culture across Ageas UK during a period of significant transformation and growth

Main Responsibilities

Skills and experience you need

• Significant experience in senior internal communications, employee engagement or corporate communications roles.
• Proven ability to influence and build credibility with executives and senior stakeholders.
• Strong experience developing and delivering strategic communication and engagement campaigns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex messages.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of communication channels, audience engagement and content strategy.
• Ability to use data, analytics and colleague insights to improve communication effectiveness.
• Degree or professional qualification in Communications, PR, Marketing, journalism, CIPR or IoIC preferred.
