Job summary

Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) is offering an Internal Audit Undergraduate placement in Milton Keynes. This 12-13 month FTC combines office presence with a hybrid policy (3 days per week in the office).

Start dates are typically in June/July, and Master's students are not eligible. You will support planning and performance of audits across operational, financial, compliance and IT areas, learn audit standards, and assist with follow-up on findings, collaborating with Corporate Internal

Qualifications

• Studying towards a business-related degree.
• Interest in the Financial Services sector and regulatory principles.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.
• Methodical, analytical and disciplined approach with strong attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Resilient, self-motivated and able to work under own initiative.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and ability to organise and prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and performance of operational, financial, compliance and IT audits.
• Help prepare, coordinate, perform and follow up on joint audits with Corporate Internal Audit colleagues.
• Develop understanding of Internal Audit standards and best practice.
• Assist with follow-up of audit findings and evidence gathering.
• Support reporting for Board of Management and Board of Directors audiences.
• Maintain key audit documentation such as questionnaires, checklists and manuals.
• Identify potential efficiencies and suggest continuous improvements within the audit function.
• Work with different business areas as part of audit engagements.
