Job summary

Forvis Mazars is seeking an Internal Auditor within the Banking Risk Consulting Team to plan, execute, and finalise internal audit engagements for banking and building society clients. You will lead a team of junior staff, prepare engagement deliverables, and present findings to Audit Committees.

You will develop and maintain client relationships, ensure quality and risk standards, and contribute to proposals and pitches for new work while growing within a supportive, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience planning, delivering and managing internal audit fieldwork.
• Experience managing a portfolio of Banking and Financial Services Internal Audit clients.
• Experience delivering and leading reviews in risk areas such as risk management, governance, and third party oversight.
• Strong communication and report writing skills; capable of leading trainings and webinars.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and oversee Internal Audit plans, risk assessments, client engagements, committee reporting and deliverables.
• Lead fieldwork and supervise junior auditors and consultants.
• Draft and review internal audit reports and other key deliverables.
• Lead opening and closing meetings with client contacts (Exco) and maintain client relationships.
• Provide training and supervision to junior team members; identify opportunities for new work.
