Job summary

Forvis Mazars in the UK is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the growth of the internal audit and controls practice within the I&S Risk Consulting team in London. You will serve as a trusted day-to-day contact for clients and collaborate with Managers and Directors to develop client relationships and drive the practice forward.

Qualifications

• Holds ACA, CA, ACCA or CIA qualification.
• Experience of delivering internal audits.
• Good understanding of technical issues in risk assurance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop new initiatives and methodologies.
• Experience training and coaching audit trainees.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audit fieldwork and lead closing meetings with management.
• Prepare draft internal audit reports and summaries for stakeholders.
• Maintain strong client relationships and respond to needs.
• Assist on special assignments (e.g., fraud investigations, effectiveness reviews).
• Provide on-the-job training and supervision to junior team members.
• Organise tasks and responsibilities according to project needs.
• Manage assignments from planning to draft reports within agreed timescales.
• Present service features and benefits clearly to clients.
• Identify opportunities for new work and ensure quality across the team.
