The National Farmers Union Mutual Insurance Society Limited in Stratford-upon-Avon is launching a three-year graduate internal audit scheme. You will gain hands-on experience across audits and projects, with mentoring and a clear path to becoming a Chartered Internal Auditor.

Starting September 2027, with hybrid working depending on business needs, you will shadow, support, and eventually lead audits while developing stakeholder management and communication skills in a supportive NFU Mutual

Responsibilities

About the Scheme

The Group Internal Audit Department, known as GIAD, plays a key role in helping NFU Mutual protect its assets, reputation and long-term future - all vital in helping us to be the UK's most trusted insurer. Our audits involve working closely with colleagues across NFU Mutual to build a detailed understanding of their business area. The team reviews what could go wrong, assesses the steps in place to manage those risks, and adds value by recommending improvements and good practice. Through the scheme, you'll gain hands‑on experience across a range of audits and internal projects, helping you understand how our business works and where you can make an impact. As your confidence grows, you'll review information, ask questions, share clear recommendations and take on more responsibility. You'll be part of a supportive culture, with opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues and develop alongside others. You'll also benefit from continuous learning and hands‑on experience that will stretch and challenge you as you work towards becoming a qualified Chartered Internal Auditor. You'll be based in Stratford‑upon‑Avon, with hybrid working depending on business needs. Regular office time will help you collaborate with your team and learn from experienced colleagues. Please note this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship as it does not fulfil the criteria set by the Home Office. This is a three‑year programme. Candidates must have, or be able to obtain, permission to work in the UK in a way that enables them to undertake the role and complete the programme.

You’ll need to have achieved, or be on track for, at least a 2:2 degree. We welcome applications from any degree background. You don’t need to have studied audit, finance or business. We’ll help you build the knowledge you need. What matters most is your curiosity, willingness to learn and ability to work well with others.
