NFU Mutual in Stratford-upon-Avon invites applications for a Finance Graduate Scheme. You’ll rotate across Financial Planning & Analysis, Reporting & Controls and Properties Finance, gaining broad exposure and building your career in finance.

You will work towards CIMA or ACCA with full support, a structured development program and mentoring, while benefiting from a competitive starting salary and a strong benefits package.

Financial Reporting & Controls (FRC)

This team manages financial and regulatory reporting across the Group. It also helps maintain strong financial controls and good practice. During this placement, you'll:

• build technical knowledge in statutory and regulatory reporting
• work with teams across the business and external auditors
• learn how reporting, data management and technology support finance decisions
• work alongside our specialist Data and Tech team

Properties Finance

This team manages transactions, budgeting and financial reporting for all NFU Mutual properties. You'll gain experience in:

• statutory reporting
• Budgeting and financial planning
• working closely with the wider Properties Team

You’ll be based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire with hybrid working depending on business needs. Regular office time will help you collaborate with your team and learn from experienced colleagues. This scheme is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Assessment Centre

1. Online assessment - to help us understand how you learn and solve problems. 2. Video interview - a short interview to learn more about you. 3. Assessment centre - an in-person day where you’ll take part in activities such as a group exercise, a role‑specific task and a skills‑based interview. The assessment centres will take place at our Head Office in Stratford‑upon‑Avon. You’ll be invited to attend on either 14th or 16th December.

Criteria

• Criteria - You’ll need at least a 2:1 degree in any subject. A numerate or analytical subject may be helpful, but it isn’t essential.
• You’ll need to have achieved, or be on track for, at least a 2:1 degree. While your degree doesn’t need to be in a specific subject, we do prefer candidates with a strong numerical or analytical focus in their studies.

More importantly, we’re looking for individuals with a passion for learning, curiosity, and the potential to grow. To help you succeed on the scheme, you’ll bring:

• Strong analytical and numerical skills - working confidently with numbers and information.
• Communication and relationship‑building skills - sharing information clearly and building strong working relationships.
• Digital literacy, particularly Excel - using spreadsheets and tools to organise and analyse data.
• Time management and organisational skills - planning your work and managing deadlines.
• Initiative and self‑management skills - taking ownership and looking for ways to learn and improve.
• Problem‑solving skills - thinking practically and finding a way forward when tasks are complex.

Work experience Industry experience or a placement year within Financial Services or accountancy would be a real advantage, but it isn’t essential. What matters most is that you’ve had some experience of work where you’ve been able to interact with people, build your communication skills and learn how to work well with others.
