Job summary

Baker Hughes is offering an internship designed for students pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or recent graduates. You will gain hands-on experience on projects, with support from a buddy and manager, plus coaching and mentoring to develop your learning and skills while becoming familiar with HS&E and our culture.

You will work with cross-functional teams, learn internal tools, and contribute to software development across front-end and back-end stacks

Qualifications

• Be enrolled or recently graduated in CS/SE.
• GPA ≥ 3.0/4.0.
• Understanding of Back-End (C# / .NET).
• Understanding of Front-End (Angular, React, Vue).
• Knowledge of relational/noSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB).
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Complete internal projects to deliver business outcomes and identify process improvements.
• Learn internal software/tools to support analysis, reporting, and project delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interns to network with global leaders.
• Apply HS&E standards to ensure compliance in all situations.
• Develop applications for the business and write clean code in C#/TypeScript.
• Develop end-to-end apps using Angular/.NET and design interfaces with care.
• Apply SDLC methods like Agile/Kanban to improve code and processes.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Work across the software engineering discipline.

The Baker Hughes Internship is designed to enable students either pursuing a Bachelors' or Masters' degree or recently graduated to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. Our internships will give you first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that are aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology. Partner with the best You'll participate in focused training, and team meetings, work on projects, and present your results. As an Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Completing internal projects to deliver business outcomes and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Learning internal software and tools to support analysis, reporting, and project delivery.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders.
• Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained.
• Developing exceptional applications for our business
• Writing clean, scalable code using C#/Type Script programming languages
• Developing end-to-end applications using Angular/.net
• Developing technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture with strong attention to detail
• Applying software development life-cycle principles and methodologies such as Agile and Kanban, to continuously improve our code and processes
• Improving code quality and deployment processes, enhancing CI/CD pipelines undefined
• Working on all aspects of the software engineering discipline
• Be currently enrolled or recently graduated in a Bachelors' or Masters' level degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related programme.
• Have maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your country.
• Demonstrate understanding of working with Back-End development frameworks such as C# / .net
• Demonstrate understanding of Front-End development frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue
• Display knowledge of Relational/NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB
• Be fluent in oral and written English and have effective communication skills.
• Have good interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Be able to legally work in the country that you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restriction.
