Job summary

Search Consultancy is seeking an ambitious Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join its Building Services team. You will contribute to a broad range of projects across commercial, retail, residential, healthcare and education sectors.

You will support senior engineers from concept to completion, develop technical skills, and coordinate with architects and other disciplines in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical Building Services Engineering.
• Knowledge of sectors: commercial, retail, residential, healthcare, education.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (3D).
• Some knowledge of IESVE is advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop technically.
• Degree in Mechanical/Building Services preferred; relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and delivery of mechanical building services projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications and drawings.
• Coordinate designs with architects, contractors and other disciplines.
• Support project teams across all design and construction stages.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical input.

We are looking for an ambitious Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join a growing Building Services team, working on a broad range of projects across the commercial, retail, residential, healthcare, and education sectors.

The Role

As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mechanical building services designs from concept through to completion. You will support senior engineers in the design and coordination of projects while developing your technical and software capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Coordinate designs with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Support project teams across all stages of design and construction.
• Attend project meetings and contribute technical input.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of multiple projects across various sectors.

• Experience within Mechanical Building Services Engineering.
• Knowledge of projects within sectors such as commercial, retail, residential, healthcare, or education.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (3D).
• Some knowledge of IESVE would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop technically.
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, although candidates with alternative qualifications and relevant industry experience will also be considered.
