Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer or Electrical Building Services Designer.
• Ideally HNC/HND qualification in electrical engineering or building services.
• Experience working on commercial building services projects; residential exposure is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, regulations and industry standards.
• Experience with CAD, Revit and BIM workflows.
• Forward-thinking attitude with a desire to learn and take on more responsibility.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical building services solutions across a range of projects.
• Produce electrical design calculations, specifications, drawings and technical information to meet project requirements and programmes.
• Develop practical, compliant and efficient design solutions tailored to client-specific requirements.
• Work collaboratively with contractors, consultants, project managers and wider multidisciplinary teams to coordinate designs effectively.
• Attend project meetings, communicate design decisions and build strong working relationships with project stakeholders.
• Take ownership of electrical design packages and progressively assume greater responsibility for project delivery.
• Undertake electrical engineering calculations and apply sound technical judgement to validate design solutions.
• Contribute to energy-efficient, sustainable and future-focused electrical engineering approaches.
• Support the wider team in maintaining high standards of technical delivery and client service.

You'll be involved in the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from initial concept through to construction, working across a varied portfolio of Commercial, Residential and Retail developments. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and consultants, you'll help deliver efficient, compliant electrical designs that meet project requirements while supporting sustainable, future–focused engineering solutions.

• Experience working on commercial building services projects, with exposure to residential projects also beneficial.
• A sound understanding of electrical design principles, relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Experience with, or an understanding of, CAD, Revit and BIM workflows.
