Job description

Skilled Careers is currently working with a multi-disciplinary consultancy that is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Reading office. This opportunity arises due to securing numerous projects, ensuring a robust pipeline of work.

The team structure emphasizes quality mentoring and coaching, aligned with your development as you expand your knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Attend client meetings
• Produce electrical design calculations and be proficient in Amtech, Dialux, and Relux
• Create designs using CAD and REVIT
• Present designs for stage and peer review
• Conduct condition surveys
• Perform third-party reviews of designs
• Manage contracts from inception to completion
• Gain experience across various sectors

The Reading team is well-established and successful, working on a diverse range of projects including:

• Theatres and Auditoria
• CAT A and B fit-outs
• Peer reviews for projects exceeding £100m
• Defence and Security projects
• Healthcare
• Overseas projects

Currently, we are working on 11 sites in Africa with additional projects in Serbia. Travel is not essential but can be arranged if of interest.
