Job summary

Hippo is seeking an intermediate content design consultant in the UK to help shape information architecture and end‑to‑end services. You will work with researchers, UX designers and other team members to craft user‑centred content for public and client projects.

You’ll bring strong content design skills and some mentoring experience, contributing to practice communities and client engagements. The role offers clear progression and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable recent experience as a content designer within the public sector.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary Agile teams (e.g. UX designer, researcher, PO, delivery manager, developer).
• Accurate writing and ability to reference style guides.
• Knowledge of user research processes and ability to contribute to research outputs.
• Ability to translate content strategy into practical designs.
• Experience designing accessible, inclusive content.
• Ability to use data, analytics and research to plan and evaluate content.
• Experience sharing work via peer reviews or group critiques.

Responsibilities

• Help clients explore and solve problems using content design, people‑centred design and Agile methodologies.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams to design services that meet identified user needs.
• Champion inclusive approaches and styles within content design.
• Participate in Hippo’s design communities of practice.
• Establish and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Support Hippo in recruitment, events, blog‑writing and winning new business.
• Promote Hippo values.
