Job summary

Millhouse Furniture & Interiors Ltd in Leeds is seeking a creative Sales and Design Consultant to guide customers from inspiration to completion, blending sales skills with interior design flair.

This full-time showroom role requires delivering a warm service, understanding needs and budgets, creating mood boards, managing quotations and orders, and maintaining high showroom standards, with weekend rota.

Qualifications

• Experience in furniture sales or interior design preferred.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Full UK driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, knowledgeable welcome to showroom visitors and deliver outstanding 1-to-1 customer service.
• Understand customer needs, lifestyle and budget to recommend furniture, fabrics, and accessories.
• Create inspiring room schemes and mood boards, advising on colour, scale, fabric selection and layout.
• Conduct home consultations (in-store and virtual) where required.
• Manage the full sales process: quotations, orders, deposits, delivery liaison and aftercare.
• Maintain showroom standards - merchandising, displays, and product knowledge.
• Keep up to date with new collections, suppliers, and interior trends.
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally to ensure 5-star reviews.
