Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment is handling a vacancy for a Design Coordinator in East Malling, Kent. The role focuses on coordinating technical information, ensuring documentation is accurate and delivered on programme, with liaising across internal teams, clients and consultants.

We are seeking an organised, technically minded candidate who enjoys solving design challenges and delivering high-quality interior fit-out projects. Salary up to £33,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Design Coordinator or similar technical coordination role.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages.
• Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and outstanding proofreading skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent coordination skills and the ability to take ownership of tasks from inception through to completion.
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with internal teams, clients, contractors and consultants.
• Comfortable challenging design solutions, asking questions and seeking clarification where required.
• A proactive and persistent approach to obtaining information from multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to distribute workloads effectively to internal teams and coordinate project activities.
• Passion for problem solving with a flair for design and practical solutions.
• Committed to delivering high-quality work while meeting client expectations and project deadlines.
