Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an Interim Technical Accounting Lead to support the launch of a major new customer loyalty programme. This hands-on role requires strong IFRS 15 and revenue recognition experience to design and implement the accounting framework.

You'll lead the accounting workstream, develop policies, and work with Finance, Commercial, Technology and Project teams, ensuring smooth transition into BAU Finance operations during the 6-month hybrid contract.

Qualifications

• Extensive IFRS 15 and revenue recognition experience.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.
• Ability to translate accounting requirements into practical processes and controls.
• Experience implementing accounting solutions for new products or business models.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting workstream for the loyalty programme launch.
• Develop and document accounting policies and technical papers.
• Design revenue recognition, deferred revenue and contract liability processes.
• Develop accounting models and methodologies, including SSP and breakage calculations.
• Create month-end accounting procedures, journals and controls.
• Prepare financial reporting and disclosure requirements.
• Work closely with Finance, Commercial, Technology and Project teams.
• Support transition into BAU Finance operations.
