Job Description:

This umbrella body operating within the payments industry is looking for an Interim Public Affairs & Stakeholder Manager for a 12-month contract.

Reporting to the Head of Communications and working within the wider communications team, successful candidates will manage public affairs and stakeholder relationship activities to support business requirements. This organisation will involve working with multiple stakeholders across Westminster, Whitehall, and beyond.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing detailed stakeholder maps at a corporate and policy level, recording and managing all contacts with priority stakeholders.
• Addressing contemporary payments issues across various sectors, industries, and government departments, requiring awareness of public policy issues affecting the regulatory and political environment.
• Reviewing and implementing the overarching business strategy, coordinating activities with the team to maximize political engagement opportunities.

Your skills and experience:

• Thorough knowledge of delivering large-scale stakeholder engagement campaigns aligned with organizational objectives, preferably in the financial services or a similarly highly regulated sector.
• Significant experience in public affairs and communications.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and consistently deliver high-quality work.
