Dudley Building Society is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. The role combines hands-on technical accounting with practical delivery of BAU finance operations and key projects across the Society.

You will lead financial reporting, month-end close, reconcilations, and balance sheet controls while supporting audits and driving process improvements across the function.

Qualifications

• Qualified financial accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Proven track record in financial accounting and delivering results.
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, controls and audit support.
• Experience using Whistlebrook and ALMIS is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support year-end statutory accounts with external auditors.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with analysis and insights.
• Manage reconciliations and strengthen balance sheet controls.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
