Job summary

TransUnion is seeking a Senior Financial Control Analyst for a 6-month fixed-term to ensure accurate payroll, month-end close, balance sheet control and capital expenditure reporting. The role requires robust documentation and strong financial controls across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate is part-qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA with proven month-end, payroll and fixed-asset experience. The position is hybrid with office presence required at least two days a week.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent practical accounting experience.
• Strong experience of month-end accounting, payroll accounting, balance sheet control and fixed assets or capital expenditure.
• Experience preparing robust reconciliations, investigating accounting issues and maintaining complete, audit-ready supporting evidence.
• Working knowledge of financial-control principles and policy application.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly payroll journals across legal entities and cost centres, reconcile payroll and employee-related balance sheet accounts.
• Produce payroll, headcount and employee-cost reporting, including actual-to-forecast analysis.
• Deliver month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and intercompany reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Review income statement and balance sheet movements; investigate variances and validate balances.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine and maintain audit-ready evidence.
• Manage monthly project-costing and capitalisation processes, including WIP reviews.
• Apply group accounting policy for capex vs. opex and reconcile fixed asset register to GL.
• Prepare capex returns, support impairment reviews and tax credit analyses.
• Maintain audit, tax and professional-fee accruals and support annual employee-tax reporting.
