Job summary

Protocol Group is seeking an experienced SEND Co-ordinator to join an FE setting on a full-time interim basis. Immediate start with ongoing assignment until Christmas, with potential extension. The role commands £27.00 per hour, with consideration for exceptional candidates up to £30.00 per hour.

The successful candidate will coordinate SEND provision, lead operations, and develop strategic improvements, working across curriculum and support teams to ensure inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing a large SEND provision in FE or educational setting.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation, processes and best practice.
• Experience in leadership or management capacity.
• Ability to manage staff, resources and operational priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Confident balancing operational delivery with longer-term strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a large SEND provision within an FE environment.
• Oversee day-to-day SEND operations, ensuring high-quality support for learners.
• Line manage and support SEND staff where required.
• Monitor provision, processes, and learner outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum and support teams to ensure inclusive practice.
• Contribute to SEND strategy, planning, and service development.
• Ensure compliance with relevant SEND policies and procedures.
