Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Business Planning Manager to shape and drive the organisation's planning and performance agenda. You will partner with senior leaders to translate strategy into action, ensuring robust planning, insightful reporting, and evidence-based decision-making across the Midlands public sector.

The role involves leading the planning cycle, embedding governance, and coaching a high-performing team to deliver timely insights and continuous improvement in reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience as a business planning manager in the public sector.
• Proven ability to lead planning and performance reporting at organisational level.
• Strong understanding of business and financial planning.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to present data clearly to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organisation's planning and performance reporting framework, translating strategic objectives into measurable delivery plans.
• Oversee end-to-end planning and performance reporting cycles with timely insights for decision-making.
• Partner with senior leaders to prioritise and advise on delivery of strategic goals.
• Establish and maintain planning governance and reporting structures.
• Drive the annual Business Plan development, publication, and monitoring.
