Major, Lindsey & Africa is partnering with a major global payments organisation to appoint an Interim Legal Counsel focused on Payments and Digital Assets. The role involves advising on the regulatory landscape for fiat and stablecoin products across multiple jurisdictions, with emphasis on PSD2 and MiCA, and leadership in cross-border regulatory analysis.

Ideal candidates will have 7–12 PQE and a background from leading law firms or financial institutions, with strong exposure to payments

Qualificações

• Strong European payments regulatory expertise.
• Knowledge of PSD2 and MiCA.
• Experience with cross-border payment products.
• Exposure to stablecoins, digital assets or crypto regulation.
• Training/background from a leading law firm, financial institution, fintech, payments business or regulator.

Responsabilidades

• Advising on the development, launch and scaling of fiat and stablecoin payment products.
• Providing regulatory advice around product design and settlement models.
• Supporting go-to-market strategy and regulatory readiness.
• Leading multi-jurisdictional regulatory analysis.
• Advising on licensing and registration requirements across payments and digital assets.
• Working closely with product, commercial and legal stakeholders.
